Book Now

It’s easy to fall in love with London, and it’s easy to fall in love in London.

In amongst the hustle and bustle and bright lights and people rushing around at a million miles an hour, there are lots and lots of quiet, romantic places in London that will capture the heart of your nearest and dearest.

Remember, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. With our amazingly indulgent and romantic Celebrations package that includes Prosecco, chocolate-dipped strawberries and rose petals on the bed, we can’t guarantee he or she will say yes but we can guarantee that you’re in the perfect city to show your partner how much you love them.

Here is our guide to the most romantic places in London and if you have any secret or hidden London locations for love, don’t forget to let us know on Twitter @RathboneHotel or on our Facebook page.

Most Romantic Place in London to Steal a Kiss

Drunken attempts at the entrance to tube stations surrounded by burger boxes and regret are not cool.

Is there anything that says old-school romance more than the golden age of train travel?  At St Pancras, the most iconic station in the city – perhaps in the world – you’ll find ‘The Meeting Place’, a 9m-tall bronze statue by world-famous sculptor Paul Day of a couple intimately embracing, and if that doesn’t get you in the mood to pucker up, we’re not sure anything will…!

Most Romantic Walks in London

Where do we start? Right on the doorstep of the Rathbone you’ll find lots of cool and quirky mews streets but the most picturesque in the city include Kynance Mews in Kensington (look for the secret staircase leading up to the church), Stanhope Mews and Queen’s Gate Mews by Gloucester Road tube and Holland Park Mews, in, you guessed, it, Holland Park.

How about taking a picnic to the top of Primrose Hill for one of the most stunning views of the London skyline, the lover’s arch in Kensington Palace Gardens or take a long stroll through Hyde Park? Whichever one you choose, romance will be in the air!

Most Romantic Place in London for Those Three Words….

When you want to whisper sweet nothings, there’s only one place for it. The Whispering Gallery in St Paul’s Cathedral is one of the world’s most instantly-recognisable buildings and you can whisper those three small but highly significant words to your lover. Please don’t say ‘what’s for lunch’, not even as a joke…

Romance in London…

Romance is all things to all people and it doesn’t always have to be walks, chocolates and flowers. You can book a private pod on the London Eye for love at 135m, row your lover down the Serpentine River in Hyde Park overlooking the Italian Gardens or take afternoon tea at The Wolseley but whatever you decide to do and whoever you decide to do it with, Valentine’s Day in London is a life box that needs to be ticked.

Is The Rathbone One of the Most Romantic Hotels in London?

That’s an easy one. Of course it is! The Rathbone screams romance! Check out our Celebrations package for all the Valentine’s Day romance you could need but contact us today because the secret’s out – the Rathbone really is one of the most romantic hotels in London!

On our doorstep you’ll find Regent’s Park and Covent Garden as well as the beautiful squares of Fitzrovia where you can sit and watch the world go by. Depending on your definition of romance, you’ll find the world’s biggest Lego store and the four floors of M&Ms World in Leicester Square but wherever you choose to go and whatever you choose to do, do it with the one you love x
