About St. James Park
The park is situated practically on the doorstep to Buckingham Palace and is often used for ceremonial and state functions. The park was a former garden under Charles II and was remodelled to its present state by John Nash in 1828. There is a central lake that is home to a large population of ducks and pelicans and there is a calm feel to the whole park considering that it is nestled in the bustle of the West End.
