The Rathbone Hotel Lowest Available Rate Accommodation Cancellation Policy

For room reservations made using the Lowest Available rate, full payment will be taken at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable in the event of any amendment, cancellation or no show. All reservations are made subject to availability at the time of booking.

The Rathbone Hotel Guarantee Policy

Full credit card details are required at time of booking. Credit cards which are unable to be charged will result in the reservation being null and void. On arrival at the hotel, all reservations will require pre-authorisation with a credit card or cash deposit to cover incidentals during your stay.

Where such pre-authorisation is not possible at check in, guests must first settle their account in full at check in, either in cash or with a valid debit or credit card, and will then be considered as a ‘cash only’ guest and as such will be unable to charge items to their room account.

Cancellation Policy

The hotel operates a 24-hour cancellation policy. In the event of non-arrival or cancellations made after 2pm GMT on the day prior to your arrival, a one-night charge (per room cancelled) will be charged to your credit card.

All reservation cancellations will be issued a unique cancellation reference number which will be issued to you by the hotel. In the event of a dispute over cancellation notification you will be required to produce this reference number.

For groups of five rooms or more, different cancellation policies may apply, as described in any group contract.

VAT (UK and Ireland only) & Taxes

Reservations are subject to prevailing VAT rates applicable during the provision of the service. Therefore, if the prevailing VAT rate changes, the rate for the services provided during the stay will be subject to the new greater or lesser VAT rate as applicable.  Should City tax or equivalent be mandated such tax shall be applied.

Room Availability

We will endeavour to accommodate your preferred choice of specific room, subject to availability. Check in time is from 2pm and check out time is 11am.

Additional charges will be applied to the guest account for later departures and the hotel may charge 50% of the room rate for additional use of the room until 5pm, and 100% of the room rate if still occupied after 5pm.

Child Policy

Children under the age of six years sharing a room with parents or carers are free.

Children aged between 6-16 who require an extra bed when sharing a room with their parents are subject to an extra bed charge per night.

Subject to availability, cots for children (up to two years) are provided free.

Pet & Guide Dog Policy

We do not accept animals in the hotel except for those assisting with difficulties, in which case they are accommodated free of charge.

Meal Plan Policy

All rates are quoted on a ‘room only’ basis unless otherwise stated.

Damages

We are sure that you will take care whilst you stay with us, and we acknowledge that accidents sometimes happen. We do however reserve the right to charge for any damage or breakages which we consider to be deliberately or recklessly caused, for any items discovered missing after you depart or for the cost of the room for any time period for which it is considered unusable due to damage.

When making your reservation with us (via a Travel Agent or direct) you are agreeing to our terms and conditions, you authorise us to charge this amount to the debit/ credit card used to secure the booking. If the damage/breakages are discovered after you depart, you will be notified of any charges in writing, email or phone, as soon as is reasonably practicable.

Inability to Accommodate

In the unlikely event that upon your arrival at the hotel, we are, for whatever reason, unable to provide you with the accommodation booked by you, we will, at our expense, transfer you to a suitable local hotel (single one-way journey).

If you have already prepaid for your stay at the Rathbone Hotel, we will settle your accommodation charges directly with the other hotel.

If you have not prepaid for your stay at the Rathbone Hotel, we will re-book you into the alternative hotel, where you will pay for your accommodation at the same rate as that confirmed for your booking at the Rathbone Hotel. We will then settle any difference directly with the other hotel.

General Notice

The Rathbone Hotel strives to ensure that the contents of this site are accurate and reliable.

However, The Rathbone Hotel and its agents are not infallible, and errors and/or omissions may sometimes occur. Therefore, The Rathbone Hotel disclaims any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, as to any matter whatsoever relating to this website and any links thereto and therefrom, including, without limitation, as to the merchantability, non-infringement of intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose.

The Rathbone Hotel does not warrant the accuracy, currency or completeness of the contents, including, without limitation, any information relating to prices or availability.

Comments & Complaints

We take our guest’s satisfaction very seriously. Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at our hotel should be made in the first instance to the hotel’s Duty Manager at the time of your stay so that we can attempt to resolve it immediately.

Problems which cannot be resolved to your satisfaction there and then should be escalated to our Hotel Manager by email on hm@rathbonehotel.co.uk.
